Beefeater London Dry Gin was first released in 1876 by James Burrough. To this day, Beefeater Gin is produced according to the recipe developed at that time, using nine different botanicals such as almonds, licorice and violet root. Beefeater London Dry Gin received impressive scores of 93 and 94 from the Beverage Testing Institute in 2005, 2008 and 2009, and also took home a double gold medal at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition, among other awards.
