This whisky is made from a blend of three of William Grant & Sons’ single malts: Balvenie, Glenfiddich, and Kininvie. The three monkeys on the shoulder of the bottle represent the three malts that make up the blend. Monkey Shoulder was created to appeal to a wider audience by making Scotch whisky more accessible for cocktails and mixed drinks. The whisky was aged in first-fill bourbon casks and vatted together in small batches for up to six months.
